What We Collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. That includes page views, session duration, referring URLs, device type, approximate location at the country or region level, and custom events such as form views and submissions (without attaching those events to clinical records).

When you voluntarily submit dental bill information through Submit your bill, we collect what you enter — procedure, city, price paid, and optional notes. We ask you not to include your name or contact information in that form.

When you request local price comparison help on supported procedure pages, we collect first name, email, phone, city, state, procedure interest, timeline, insurance status, and attribution data such as the page URL, page title, referring URL, and UTM campaign parameters if present in the link you used.

When you apply to join our provider network on For dentists, we collect practice name, dentist name, email, phone, website, city, state, procedures offered, monthly new patient capacity, and optional notes.

On supported pricing pages, we store aggregate counts only when you click “Helpful” or “Not helpful” on our estimate feedback widget — not your identity.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, full medical records, insurance member IDs, or payment card numbers through ToothPrice forms.

How We Use Data

Analytics help us see which procedure and city pages are most useful so we can improve the site over time.

User-submitted prices feed our public cost database when approved. Those figures are shown anonymously — we do not attach your identity to a displayed price report.

Patient lead requests are used to follow up with pricing context or connect you with resources that help you compare quotes. Provider applications are reviewed manually for potential inclusion in the ToothPrice network. We may use optional webhooks to send lead data to secure internal tools (for example Zapier or a CRM) configured by our team.

We also use aggregate patterns to refine our methodology and procedure pages as our editorial standards evolve.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell user data to third parties.
• We do not use patient lead data to make medical or dental treatment recommendations.
• We do not share submitted price reports in ways that identify who submitted them.
• We do not require account creation to read cost information on the site.

Cookies and Tracking

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure aggregate site usage. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on (see Your Rights below).

If you click outbound affiliate links — for example CareCredit, DentalPlans.com, Sesame Care, or Sunbit — those companies may set their own cookies. Their use of data is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

We do not use retargeting cookies or ad tracking pixels on ToothPrice.

Affiliate Relationships

ToothPrice may earn a commission when readers click certain dental financing or membership links. We disclose that relationship on every page that includes such links.

Those partnerships do not change the prices we display or our editorial content. We never accept payment in exchange for editorial placement.

Children's Privacy

ToothPrice is intended for adult use. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we delete it.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of any data you submitted by emailing hello@toothprice.com.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. When we make material changes, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
